FunPolo: And in the End, the Smiles Remain

Just a few minutes earlier, they were opponents.

Some photos tell the story of a match better than the scoreboard ever could.

This one was taken just after a game of FunPolo. We could look for the score, ask who won, count the goals. But one look at their faces tells us that what really matters is somewhere else.

They are still in the water. Some are holding the AquaSun like a trophy, others are leaning on it. The goal is still there behind them. The game is over, but no one seems particularly eager to leave the pool.

There were sprints, passes, certainly a few missed goals, plenty of splashing and laughter, and probably two or three discussions about whether “that one really went in.”

And then there is this photo.

Different players, gathered together, wearing that unmistakable expression that comes after a really good time: the tiredness has faded, but the enjoyment remains.

Perhaps that is what FunPolo is really about.

One ball, two teams, two goals... and one very good reason to play together.

The score? We’ve forgotten it.

The team? Not so much.
