Our story
Looking back at key periods
Since our inception in the year 2000, our Aventura catamarans have established themselves in the competitive market. Our catamarans are well thought out and carefully built. Let's take a look at our history and our evolution in the cruising catamaran market.
Our story begins in Charente-Maritime, in Marans, where we produced light sailing catamarans, dedicated to coastal camping. Aventura started with a 23 footer, before progressively moving up the range with a 28 and then a 36 footer. Alongside this range, we have developed a series of small monohull yachts, as well as a fishing boat.
In 2006, the production site in Marans could no longer meet the growing demand. So we moved to Tazarka, Tunisia.
Around 2015, we began working with the naval architect Samer Lasta, who breathed new life into the Aventura range. The entire range was redesigned to improve the habitability and performance under sail of our catamarans. That same year we moved again to a 12,000 m2 site in Menzel Bourguiba near Bizerte.
In 2016 we complete our existing range with our first motor catamaran, the Aventura 35 MY.
In 2021, our BEST SELLER, the Aventura 37, was launched and has quickly established itself in the market of catamarans under 40 feet. Its asymmetrical deck layout makes the manoeuvring and rest areas very ergonomic. The helm station and the piano are well defined, and the crew is not hindered in manoeuvring under sail.
Today, we have four models in our catalogue, from 37 to 50 feet, under sail or motor. We also have a series called DC, for Day Charter, which is intended for professional sailors.
We currently employ 230 people at the Menzel Bourguiba site.
With an annual production of 60 boats, we intend to respond to a galloping demand by expanding our production site. A new 7,000 m2 wing will be inaugurated in 2023, and will enable us to establish ourselves on the world market in the long term.
