Which one should I choose?

Clients often ask us which mode of transport is most suited to their needs, the pedal-powered R32 tricycle with electric motor or the R30 mobility scooter.

We are often asked this and at times we sense confusion by referring to the R30 folding electric scooter as the “tricycle”. Let’s try and understand the difference, but especially the benefits of each and who is most suited for one or the other.

The pedal-powered electric tricycle, the R34 model is in all effects a three-wheeled bicycle with 20’’ tyres. It has a low frame to facilitate sitting; the tricycle is fitted with an auxiliary electric motor which automatically activates when you start to pedal. It is therefore very comfortable on upward slopes (gradeability with motor over 10%) and for longer walks.

It folds to the size of a suitcase in 3 simple steps without screwing, unscrewing and without the need for tools, wrenches, etc… This makes it the perfect product for convenient transport by car, train or metro.

Who can use it? There is no specific target. The answer is anyone who does not feel safe on two wheels or anyone with slight motor difficulties or balance issues. Age therefore varies from 8 to 99 years. It is ideal for anyone in need of light physical exercise but does not feel safe on two wheels (watch video).

The R30 mobility scooter is a fully electrical traction vehicle: its folding system is even simpler and immediate than the tricycle: simply press a button to fold it up in 4-5 seconds and simply press it again to have your mode of transport. It is also fitted with reverse, adjustable maximum speed, convenient handle and it can be fitted with multiple accessories, including the highly practical car hoist, that allows effortless and automatic placement of the scooter inside the carboot of your car.

Who can use it? We recommend the scooter to anyone, the elderly or those with motor difficulties, who need help enhancing their quality of life: moving, shopping or rediscovering the pleasure of travelling. In fact, it can travel on any airline as a disability aid and its battery meets all IATA requirements for lithium battery transport by air (watch video).
