PELICAN LIFT - The new mobile dockside crane
The innovative mobile dockside crane by Boat Lift is now on the market
Boat Lift – backed by its decennial experience in manufacturing handling and lifting systems for the marine and industrial sectors – has recently launched the new product Pelican Lift, the innovative mobile dockside crane for boats hauling and launching.
At the end of July 2023 in Genoa, Italy, the first Pelican Lift application was successfully commissioned, with a capacity of 70tons. Thanks to its innovative design, the dockside wheeled crane allows to move boats to and from the water even where there are no waterfront works, such as basins or ramps. The front cantilever beam is balanced with counterweights in the backside of the crane and ensures hauling and launching operations advancing beyond the dock with its "travel lift style" slings system.
The Pelican Lift crane is equipped with electronically synchronized winches and disposes of double proportional speed for both lifting and motion. All functions are managed through remote control, in order to ensure maximum safety and reliability during operations.
The project has been completely developed in-house, deriving from direct contact with clients’
needs and from the aim of engineering tailored solutions for marine industry constant evolution. Because
of its unique design, the Pelican Lift mobile dockside crane ensures safe handling and lifting operations without requiring the realization of specific waterfront works, but exploiting and maximizing already existing spaces in the shipyard.
