New line boats DALMAU FAST 440

Drassanes Dalmau has created a new line of fast passenger boats with lengths between 12 and 18 meters. This is a 14.65m LOA planing monohull with capacity for 48 passengers and two crew members capable of work fully loaded with cruise speeds above 30 knots. Its objective is to entertain the passengers with its acceleration and high speed turns, all offering a high level of comfort and safety.

Its open design and performance make passengers can feel the speed in contact with the sea doing much more intense the experience. It is a concept highly profitable, easy to maintain, road transportable, with good interior finishings, easily cleanable surfaces, easily removable seats for holding events on board, swim platform, boarding for bow, stern and both sides, the passage toilet, awning to the sun and a helm with high visibility control for easy maneuvering. Its target audience is the daring tourist wanting to feel strong emotions.

Manufacturing is characterized by the use of leading methods in the sector. With lamination by infusion process, which gives the same mechanical properties than the common process but with a lower hull thickness, and optimization of materials is possible to reduce the weight of the boat.

The Barcelona Fast Ferry is the first manufactured ship of the line. It has installed two engines Volvo IPS 650 that allow greater control of the boat and yet not lose speed in the turns compared to a traditional wheel. Reaches 33 knots at full load.

The Dofi Emotion is the second vessel line that was manufactured. Installs two Doosan engines of 315 hp fitted with traditional propulsion propeller and shaft. This configuration is more robust and its maintenance is cheaper. Reaches 27 knots.

The Biosphere Jet is the last vessel manufactured to date. There are two Volvo engines of 330 hp connected to a type z Volvo aquamatic sterndrives. This configuration gives the ship the ability not to lose speed in the turns and easy maintenance. In tests (with G7 propellers) exceeds 40 knots.
