Taiwan’s DWTEK Subsea Solution Provider and Malaysia’s Affinity Test Services have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), signifying their commitment to support and collaborate with each other.

Taiwan’s DWTEK Subsea Solution Provider and Malaysia’s Affinity Test Services have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), signifying their commitment to support and collaborate with each other. The two companies aim to enhance services for clients in the oil and gas, offshore, and underwater sectors by providing more efficient and professional services.

DWTEK Subsea Solutions Provider, established in 2015, is a pioneer in the underwater sector in Taiwan. They are known for their comprehensive supply chain and have successfully developed precise underwater technologies locally. Their products include underwater connectors, various subsea components (thrusters, cameras, lighting, servos, sensors, etc.), and self-developed award winning ROVs. With the acquisition of the Sunny Bright OSV in 2022 and their IMCA-qualified ROV pilot team, DWTEK continues to expand and thrive.

Affinity Test Services SDN. BHD., established in 2012 and formerly known as NDT Advance SDN. BHD., is based in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia. The company provides Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services to the oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, marine, construction, and aerospace industries. Their core values are safety, humanity, integrity, and professionalism, and all their inspections are carried out by highly qualified inspection engineers with many years of experience.

The MOU between DWTEK and Affinity Test Services aims to enhance the safety and scope of their services by leveraging each other’s expertise. DWTEK will deploy their advanced ROVs and well-trained and qualified ROV pilots to assist Affinity Test Services with underwater inspections. Traditionally, Affinity Test Services has provided underwater inspection, cleaning, CCTV underwater video surveys, and mooring system installation by divers. Now, they will also offer their NDT services, as well as a wide range of inspection and repair services, to meet the comprehensive needs of both companies’ clients.
