DWTEK Completed Wind Turbine Maintenance in the Taiwan Strait Extending Their Lifespan

This summer, DWTEK's ROV I90+, equipped with a cutting-edge water jet tool, successfully completed the maintenance operation of wind turbines.

Our latest achievement includes breaking our own record, with each turbine now being able to complete the cleaning of a 10m² section within 1 hour.

Our ROV I90+, enhanced with a new water jet tool, to efficiently remove marine growth from offshore wind turbines. The task was executed with precision by DWTEK's highly trained ROV pilot team, even under the challenging conditions of the Taiwan Strait. Impressively, the entire maintenance scope can be done within one hour. This success strengthens our confidence in tackling large-scale offshore wind farm cleaning and other significant underwater construction projects in the future.

The Taiwan Strait, with its total wind farm installation capacity reaching 29GW and 270 operating wind turbines, is a prime location for offshore wind energy. As Taiwan’s offshore wind farms continue to grow, more local companies like DWTEK is needed to tackle and support OWF task.
