ENOGIA is reinventing the ORC universe

ORC TECHNOLOGY IS KEY TO THE ENERGY TRANSITION

ENOGIA is reinventing the ORC universe by integrating its innovative and patented turbomachines into its models. ENOGIA’s turbomachines are high-performance, compact and durable and offer high value added reinforced by capacity for customisation that is unparalleled on the market.

All of these distinguishing characteristics contribute to the excellence of the ENOGIA ORC range.

ORC technology helps transform heat into electricity and to recover it

The Organic Rankine Cycle, named after John Rankine, was invented and tested in the 19th century. After decades of neglect, this technology returned to prominence after a series of oil shocks and the challenges posed by the energy transition. In the 20th century, only large ORC were manufactured in the absence of sufficiently small and reliable turbo expanders. In 2009, ENOGIA upended the ORC universe by making it possible to build machines from 10kW upwards thanks to its micro-turbines.

THE ENOGIA ORC TECHNOLOGY

ENOGIA has revolutionised the ORC space by proposing a reliable, airtight, high-speed micro-turbine that fits perfectly in ORC modules with power rates below 300kW.

ENOGIA adjusts the parameters of machines to take into account the specific characteristics of each utilisation site.

The biggest range in the market

ENOGIA offers the largest range of small ORC machines on the market, with modules rated from 10kW to 180kW of electricity. ENOGIA’s unique architecture keeps operations, supervision and maintenance as intuitive as possible.

ENOGIA is one of the only companies in the world that proposes ORC modules that use waste heat from 70°C, thus expanding the diversity of the applications of its modules.

APPLICATIONS

ENOGIA technology makes it possible to implement ORC systems in a number of fields:

Industry : recovery of boiler exhaust gases, exhaust from industrial furnaces, treatment plants, cement plants, etc.

Maritime : production of electricity using the heat generated by propulsion or auxiliary engines, thus lowering fuel consumption and pollutant gas emissions.

Generator sets : improved yield from generator sets (diesel, natural gas, biogas) through the additional production of electricity using waste heat (exhaust, cooling water), which can be reinjected into the network or used internally.

Geothermal energy : integration of modules on natural sources or oil and gas applications for the production of decarbonised electricity using renewable heat.
