Holland Marine Parts, producer of the Jet Thruster, has developed the all New Jet Thruster Micro. A new small sized bow jet that meets the demand for maneuvering small boats with too little draft for a conventional bow or stern thruster.

With most boats in the Europe being equipped with diesel engines this is not the case in the United States so we set out the goal to make a small compact Thruster, safe to use in boats with gasoline engines.

“We can proudly say that we have developed the smallest bow thruster system with IP-cover, certified under the ISO 8846 standard. This means that the powerful pump unit, distribution valve and all technology are housed in a small pump unit, where a special hood realizes a gas-tight seal. This allows the Jet Thruster Micro to be sold anywhere in the world and used safely without additional measures. That is unique and has never been applied in this way before,” says Pieter Cats, head of development for the Jet Thruster Micro . In addition, the entire outer casing of the system is made of very strong ABS, which means that all components are protected against moisture and corrosion. There is a gastight seal and the Jet Thruster Micro is protected against extreme conditions.

Another challenge also lay in keeping the complete system compact and easy to install. The Jet Thruster Micro is sold as a complete comprehensive package which will include all material needed to install all in one box .The Jet Thruster Micro will be suitable for the do-it-yourselfer who wants to install a bow or stern thruster himself because it requires no costly fiberglass work. The pump and nozzle flanges seamlessly cover the three penetrations making the Jet Thruster Micro system quick and easy to install. The installation package provides certified throughhull fittings and valves. On the control side it all is done with plug & play cabling which are included .

The starting point for the development was to develop a fully complete product that can be installed directly from the box and is suitable for any type of boat. Holland Marine Parts has accomplished this with the Jet Thruster Micro.
