NEW: outboard walkaround by Karnic

The world economic crisis of 2008 has not only reduced the size of the marine market but also changed thepurchasing requirements of customers. In a recent study, Karnic has identified that end customers are nowadays better educated than the past and have become more demanding in the features they expect to see before making a decision to purchase a new boat. In particular, customers appear to seek solutions relating to customisation that differ from case to case, prefer to have flexibility to use their boat for multiple purposes, set comfort as a prime requirement and aim for uniqueness while expecting a high quality of build.

In view of these new market trends, Karnic decided to respond by proceeding with the development of a series of new models that are based on the following main design targets:

(a) For the same basic boat (not different versions based on the same hull), provide a wide selection of layouts and options so end customers can chose and build the boat as per their needs. In the same manner, dealers can setup and promote the boat version that best matches their market requirements.

(b) For any combination of layout and options, provide multi-use fully functioning solutions to increase product value for the customer.

Model SL702 is the first model from Karnic that has been developed to fulfil the above design requirements and provide innovative solutions to meet the current market trends.
