MiniCat 520 EXPLORER is coming....

The ultimate expedition boat from MiniCat

For almost two years we have been working on an new expedition/touring style of MiniCat and we are beyond excited to finally get the first boats in the water for extreme endurance testing in the harsh conditions they were designed for.

The MiniCat Expedition Team has spent the last 10 days in the north of Norway inside the Arctic Circle testing the first boats before we start full production.

The team was led by Dave King a renowned and extremely experienced arctic explorer and expedition leader, and amongst the team of experienced extreme sailors, he was also joined by ‘Mr. MiniCat’ himself, the designer Martin Horak.

The first impressions are very positive and even beyond expectations. The weather conditions were from sunny and calm to rain and extreme winds but the 520 Explorer stood the test perfectly.

We have an epic Arctic Expedition planned in August to the north of Greenland which will be the ultimate test. We will then be ready to start production of this very exciting new MiniCat model later this year. Full details of the production version of the ‘MiniCat 520 Explorer’ will be published later this year but we are sure it will quickly become a bestseller as the interest is huge already.
