Thanks to the fully integrated electric drive, the sailor - whether sailing alone or with a team - can easily set, haul up and furl the sails at any time, even in the most difficult conditions.

The right Powersailwinch for every yacht

The MSM electric winches in 5 sizes with tractive forces up to 2,500 kg are suitable for ship lengths up to 70 feet. The wide range of models from 40 to 65 means that the possible applications are almost limitless: as a fore or main sheet winch, as a halyard or central winch.

The integrated motor operates maintenance-free. With their springy selftailer and special drum fluting, they provide excellent grip while being gentle on the ropes. Another advantage is the possibility of manual operation. This means that the sails can also be de-energised.

The msm PowerSailwinches weigh between 7 and 22 kg, have a tractive force of 650 to 2,500 kg and achieve a sheet speed of up to 42 m/min. The low power consumption puts minimal strain on the on-board power supply. The space-saving planetary and spur gears ensure high efficiency.

Installation is child's play

Our solution already scores points during installation. The msm PowerSail winches - compatible with most common manual winches - are simply bolted to the deck or coaming and electrically wired via a switch box. Apart from the electric cables, nothing protrudes below deck. This also makes retrofitting very easy.

The msm-PowerSailwinches are operated by hand or foot switch - mounted near the winch - or even more conveniently by remote control. In any case, a high level of safety is ensured, as the winch stops immediately when the switch is released.

The MSM Powersailwinch is made of seawater-resistant aluminium. The Elite series is available in the anodised colours black and silver. Even more individual configurations are offered by the Custom series with individual, also two-colour optics to match the yacht.

msm PowerSailwinch - 2nd generation innovation and quality

Motivated by the desire to sail comfortably, the founder of msm began developing the first electric winch in the mid-1990s. As an engineer and sailor, he brought both worlds together. This is how the first fully integrated electric sailing winch came into being.

Since 2020, David Jokisch has been managing the company in the 2nd generation. The mechanical engineer and passionate sailor with experience in the development of modern drive technology continues the philosophy of the founder. The high-quality winches are further developed in the inventor region Bergisches Land "Made in Germany".
