Introducing the Nautic Alert Nevata and Nautic Alert Nevata Insight, the marine industry’s first Intelligent Bilge Pump Management Controller (IBPMC) and telematics solution, which provides yacht owners a piece-of-mind by managing and reducing catastrophic bilge related events through early detection of failed components, intelligent decisions, and notification, in addition to notifying for unexpected yacht movement. Where other solutions may provide a high water alert and notification once a situation has escalated, the Nevata takes a proactive approach through innovation and technology to detect, notify, and provide automatic countermeasures to give yacht owners additional time to remediate an issue before devastation ensues.

Imagine what would happen if your yacht encountered a failing through-hull fitting, failed or clogged bilge pump, or maybe a condition that caused your pump to run endlessly while depleting your moored boat’s battery supply, all without you knowing. By combining the latest technology into an intelligent solution, just as a human can observe the water line not receding due to a blockage in the pump’s drain when the pump is running, so can the Nevata! It uses its proprietary Multi-Fault Assessment technology, and on certain models, can auto-switch between a primary and backup pump to provide an alternate path for water all while notifying Insight, and thus, up to three alert recipients about the situation.

The Nautic Alert Nevata Insight is a small, sleek, simple-to-use touch screen solution that enables up to 10 Nevata controllers to communicate with it wirelessly, and contains an integrated modem to allow text messages to be sent directly to a number of recipients. The Insight contains a visual alarm indicator and siren to conform with Coast Guard CFR requirements.

The Nevata controller is an easy-to-install replacement for old float switches, and can work with most existing bilge pumps. It contains no mechanical parts, and unlike other bilge solutions, sits above the waterline and out of the debris that can lead to premature failure. The Nevata is UL marine certified, meaning it’s been evaluated and tested for use in the marine environment under the harshest of operating conditions.
