First-ever NorDav™ installed upside down, New Marex 390

A unique installation on a brand-new Marex 390, carefully integrated into the yacht’s hatch arrangement at our facility in Ølen, Norway.

2026 – A NorDav First on a Brand-New Marex 390

In 2026, we completed a very special installation: the first-ever NorDav mounted upside down, installed on a brand-new 2026 Marex 390.

The unique installation allows the NorDav system to be positioned inside the boat’s storage hatch, so when the davit is not in use and the hatch is closed, the system virtually disappears — leaving the swim platform completely clean and unobstructed.

The system was tested for the first time in this video with a Zodiac Cadet 300. The client later tested the installation with his Highfield 310, which is now the boat’s permanent dinghy.

This was a particularly rewarding project with a fantastic client who placed great trust in us and allowed us to develop a customized solution for his brand-new boat. We are extremely pleased with the final result — and even more pleased that the client is equally happy with our delivery.

Following the installation, the client shared the following 5-star Google review:

I had a new NorDav system installed on my brand-new Marex 390, with special custom adaptations carried out by Magnar — and on this boat, only the best is good enough.

The entire experience has been exceptional: the service, the commitment, and above all, the quality of the product. It is solid, robust, resistant to the marine environment, and, not least, very easy to use.

Over more than 40 years of boating, I have tried most types of davit systems and snap davits. I also work with offshore equipment that has to withstand everything the sea can throw at it — but this system really takes the cake.

If you are wondering whether it will fit your boat, the answer is always YES.

Highly recommended!
