THE MARINE HOIST IDRA 30 TON SPECIALE NOW RUNS ON PAVE''

The Port of Le Havre enjoys several advantages for its geographic position it''s a port in continuous expansion and renewal, with the primary aim to increase more and more the traffics and decrease the ships'' waiting times.

The importance of this Port have ensured that the choice of this marine hoist had to reply to precise parameters and functions and mainly had to satisfy high performance requirements, from technology and safety point of view.

Reputation solidity and reliability have been the reasons why Le Havre has chosen just the company PDN to equip their marina with a so special equipment for the handling of boats.

The marine hoist, from the point of view of the capacity, is surely not to be numbered among the biggest ones in the history of PDN, considering also the supply of a marine hoist Idra with capacity 400 ton always in France. The peculiarity of this machine is in the system of hydraulic suspensions on single wheels, that for the first time overall are realized on a boat travelift in order to be able to operate on uneven ground. If to this we add that the machine works on pavé, it is easy to understand its great peculiarity in moving on a pavement made of stone cubes.

Highly remarkable are the highly cared technical details, that have already been underlined in the testing made in Italy.

The motor with electronic adjustment and with automotive pump allows to adjust the power of the diesel to the machine''s request, thus guaranteeing less consumption and a better environmental impact.

The particularly spacious thermic group is easily suitable to the maintenance with only 1 pump for the translation and the steering and only 1 pump for the lifting and the upper trolleys; the 4 mobile spreaders and the proportional lifting speed 8/16 m'' guarantee performances that are practically double compared to the ones normally required.

The control system with PLC, failure detection and electronic weighing give the absolute reliability of the marine hoist, protecting it from accidental manoeuvres.

Not less important is the walkway of disembarkation/boarding of passengers directly from the boats, that has been installed on 1 of the crane''s legs and can be lifted through auxiliary winch.

IDRA 30 represents a perfect combination between technology and safety, originality and reliability.
