The 60m superyacht concept Sun Catcher

One of the latest designs from designer Max Zhivov is the 60 metre concept Sun Catcher. Inspired by the movement of a flower as it turns its head to catch the rays of the sun, the superyacht places a great emphasis on sustainability and energy saving methods, demonstrated in the fact that several parts of the upper roof are comprised of solar panels.

Smart technology ensures that the solar panels on board are used as effectively as possible: when underway, the panels lay down vertically as to avoid interference with the aerodynamics of the vessel, whilst at anchor, the panels move to a position designed to catch as much sun as possible.

Up to 12 guests are accommodated for on board over a large master suite in addition to five guest cabins. A crew of 12 are also accommodated for on board, and she is expected to have a cruising speed of 18 knots.
