A TRICAT TRIMARAN FOR RACING AND DREAMING

The builder Tricat, which specializes in fast, fun trimarans, continues to have us dreaming.

First there was the presentation of the Tricat 25 Evolution, with the look of a racer, which was all the rage. Then there was the Bol d’Or, the famous race on Lake Geneva, where only the best do well. This year, the builder entered with its prototype of the Tricat 22 Extrême. Helped by a strong breeze, Tritera Pi’s crew finished 35th on elapsed time, leaving more than 500 boats and experienced crews behind them, while they had the smallest multihull in the entry...

Congratulations to Antoine Houdet (the Tricats’ builder), his brother Luc (the owner) and Swann, Antoine’s youngest son, for this excellent result (course covered in 9 hours, and a few runs at between 15 and 22 knots!!!).

But for dreaming, there is nothing better than the videos of the surfers Ewen, Aurel and Ronan, (a former Multihulls World journalist) who, aboard Gwalaz, a Tricat built in linen fiber, have just returned from the Salomon Islands.
