BAVARIA TAKES OVER NAUTITECH CATAMARAN

Bavaria is the second largest builder of sailing boats and motor yachts in the world, but there were no catamarans in its range, which nowadays is more than just a lack of taste... Rather than launching into a long (and costly) study to develop its own brand and a coherent range, the company decided to acquire one of the finest catamaran builders, by taking over Nautitech.

Here is what Constantin von Bülow, Bavaria’s MD had to say: “The cruising catamaran is a segment which is growing fast, for private owners, and even more so for the charter market. Bavaria is traditionally very well-represented in both these markets. With Nautitech Catamarans and the skilled team around the founder, Bruno Voisard, we have found the right partner for our entry into the top end of the catamaran world.”

Bruno Voisard, Nautitech’s MD is also delighted: “Bavaria is the ideal partner for Nautitech Catamarans. With our catamarans, we complete their portfolio of products perfectly. Over the last few years, Nautitech has grown rapidly, and we are happy to continue this growth with such a prestigious partner.”

Present (and future) Nautitech owners can thus be delighted with this takeover, as the aim is to continue the development of the range of catamarans, whilst allowing the Rochefort-based company to enjoy the strength of the very big German builder.
