L30, a Club Yacht for Business and Beginners

The unusual design of the L30 sloop surprised visitors to this year’s Boot boat show in Düsseldorf

Conceived as a club vessel by former Olympian Rodion Luka, the cruiser-racer has exceeded 20 knots in early sea trials. The roomy cockpit has twin wheels and the deck’s reverse sheer offers interior headroom of 1.75 m. Amenities include a cabin with shower, comforts highly appreciated by beginners. In addition, the lifting keel makes for easy trailering. An electric engine is standard in the racing version to keep costs down. The goal is to enter the worldwide bareboat charter fleet market.
