Virgin Concept Yachts: When Sailing Turns Into Design

After their debut at the latest Monaco Yacht Show 2015, where they presented their breath-taking 100mt megayacht project and introduced their company as a new reference for yacht brokerage, charter and management, Virgin Concept Yachts now announce a new concept for a 60mt Explorer.

The company reported they have received the serious interest from a potential client for the 100 metre and now they aim at widening their offer in terms of yacht concepts.

The 100-metre mega yacht DS1 concept, spanning over six impressive decks, boasts generous exterior as well as interior spaces, ready to be customized to the Owner needs, be it for private use or mega yacht charter.

The exterior design as well as the wind shaped deckhouse of luxury yacht DS1 concept are largely inspired by military vessels: this is why surfaces are so clean and the general appeal so stately.

Pierre Jamet, owner and CEO of Virgin Concept Yachts, with a proven track record as megayacht captain and yacht manager, after having circumnavigated around the

globe several times, decided to turn his experience into a different profession, putting all the knowledges acquired during his extensive experience, at markets' disposal.

He founded Virgin Concept Yachts in 2015, focusing on yacht brokerage, charter, management and new concepts. Designed by Edwin Vandermark with oceangoing

explorer layout, the 60metre is the latest project unveiled. The yacht boasts timeless, modern design with powerful, yet elegant lines and combines all amenities of a luxury

yacht with the requirements needed for expedition yachts and extended self-sufficient operations in remote areas, while reducing their ecological impact by as much as possible.

At the aft, the yacht shows vast relaxation areas with spa pool. The stern can be converted into a beach club for various sport and recreational activities.

At the bow, the high foredeck typical of large expedition yachts is also aesthetically pleasing. The nearvertical shape of the bow is to benefit from a longer water line as well as of a considerably enlarged living area.
