Seven Marine gets CE certification

Seven Marine said it has gained CE Mark certification for its 627-hp outboard, which will allow it to be sold in the European Union. The company also manufactures 527- and 577-hp outboards.

“This is a strong step forward for us in the European market,” said Brian Davis, vice president of Seven Marine, in a statement. “Since we first exhibited our outboards in Europe in 2016, and following our acquisition by Volvo Penta last year, European boatbuilders have shown a lot of interest.”

The models will be shown on yachts at the Cannes Yachting Festival, Genoa Boat Show and Monaco Yacht show.

Applications to gain CE Mark certification for Seven Marine’s 527- and 577-hp engines are in progress. Davis said both are expected to be approved in the coming months.
