Sea Vee Introduces new center console

Sea Vee Boats has unveiled its latest model, the 322Z center-console. “The boat is an evolution of that size class,” Sea Vee’s John Caballero told TradeOnlyToday.com. “The boat originally started as a 31-footer and then we moved up the size to a 32. The 32 eventually became two models, a stepped hull and deep-V.”

The 322Z is the stepped bottom version, with a deadrise of 22 degrees at the transom. Multiple lifting areas result in a fixed running trim angle. The bottom design and careful weight distribution gives the boat an angle of attack that produces minimum resistance between the hull bottom and the water. Sea Vee also uses four air-induction inlets linked to a central air reservoir that produces and maintains an air stream that reduces friction from water flow. The bottom also has patented speed rails to improve the 322Z’s handling.

“We’ve worked hard on our boats over the years to design a better mousetrap,” says Caballero. “As a result, we’ve developed better features like a more user-friendly livewell, better layout and other features that distinguish this boat.”

The pair of 40-gal. livewells are positioned on the port and starboard quarters. “Our owners appreciate having two livewells instead of one, and their new locations allowed us to push the transom back to create the biggest cockpit in its size class,” says Caballero.

The boat is built using a process in which the hull, stringers and bulkheads are fabricated with vacuum-assisted resin transfer infusion. The cored, unibody construction results in reduced VOC emissions, and a lighter, more consistent laminate.

The new model measures 32’9” LOA with a 9’6” beam and dry hull weight of 6,800 pounds. Fuel capacity is 335 gallons and the boat can carry 34 gallons of fresh water.

Fishing features include insulated fish boxes forward with the option for an additional one in the aft cockpit. An optional side door is available.
