MYS 2018: Perini Navi reveals new Heritage motor yacht line

Italian yard Perini Navi unveiled the first three models in its new Heritage motor yacht range, the 55m Heritage, the 65m Heritage and the 75m Heritage during the first day of the Monaco Yacht Show.

Developed in collaboration with Rome-based firm Zuccon International Project, the new range is based on the yard’s sailing history and traditional styling. “The new projects are each intentionally driven by Perini’s experience in the world of sailing yachts,” explains Bernardo Zuccon. “The very name of the range, Heritage, clearly signals our desire to draw on the culture of the shipyard, not least through the recovery of various style elements and by respecting a particular concept of life on board.”

With special focus given to the outdoor spaces, the layout of the first three Heritage models feature hulls which offer the same sharp, striking and minimal lines and defined outdoor pathways that connect seamlessly with numerous decks. The concept of nature was also a source of inspiration for the new range and is reflected in the space on board which sees indoor areas being transformed to open up to natural elements like plants and water.

“That is why we’ve taken various elements from the world of sailing and transferred them to the motor yachts, not least the distribution of the spaces and their function,” adds Zuccon. “The hull’s lines and powerful styling are therefore what defines the architectural object, as is the case on a sailing boat, where the hull is the key feature and the superstructures are seen almost on a par with accessory components.”
