TITANIUM AIR CON CONDENSERS MINIMISE CORROSION

To ensure seawater erosion and corrosion caused by marine organic growth are kept to a minimum, Dometic has expanded its titanium condensers to the Variable Capacity Chiller line, its energy efficient tempered water air-conditioning systems.

One of the benefits of air conditioning with water tempered system is energy efficiency. With Dometic’s innovative variable capacity technology, Dometic

Variable Capacity Chiller (VARCX) achieves astonishing capacities of 12,000 to 48,000 BTU, 15,000 to 60,000 BTU, 18,000 to 72,000 while maximizing chiller efficiency and reducing electrical load fluctuations. Dometic introduced titanium condensers to its tempered water systems for the first time in the industry in 2016. Titanium is highly impervious against seawater erosion and corrosion. After three years of evaluations and feedback from its prominent customers, Dometic continues to move its products to titanium condensers.

Ned Trigg, EVP of Dometic Marine said; “Today, energy efficiency is high on agenda for everybody. Dometic VARCX is unique in the market, as it uses an advanced loop control algorithm that modulates the compressor speed and balances chiller output with the required load. Its efficient operation keeps noise levels and energy costs to a minimum. Combined with titanium condensers, our VARC chillers will be an easy choice.”
