LOW-WEIGHT TUCO P-TOP FOR EFFICIENCY

A new 9.3m Tuco Marine Group P-top workboat features a low-weight, flexible design for greater speed and efficiency, a larger operational range and extended working time at sea.

The latest in the group’s line of carbon fibre-based ProZero workboats has a customisable, semi-open design and is delivered in a P-top configuration featuring a protective full-beam console with front window and closed roofing. The sides and aft on the P-top can be closed off with canvas.

Jonas Pedersen, managing director at Tuco, said: “The module-based design makes it possible for us to provide our customers with a product that is customized according to their particular needs with a relatively short delivery time compared to the market average. We can do this while keeping the high level of reliability and quality that we always strive for.”

Powerful propulsion

Double outboard engines are installed, although water jet or Z-drive propulsion systems are also available. The hull also provides a stable ride and is able to handle rough seas.

Tuco says it has been working closely with workboat clients to ensure that the new design, layout and functionality profile will fulfil market demands for semi-open and flexible boats. The 9.3m P-top will be followed by a 7.9m and a 10.5m version.

The cockpit layout in the ProZero workboats is arranged to maximise the use of operations management and situational awareness electronic aids.
