Scout 530 LXF

Scout Boats has a new flagship, the 530 LXF, a “mega center console” powered by six Mercury outboards or five 425-hp Yamaha XTO engines.

The 53-footer has a 14-foot, 8-inch beam that expands to 17 feet, 6 inches when the electronically actuated beach platforms are deployed. The twin-stepped bottom allows the boat to run in the mid-50-mph range with quads and an estimated 10 mph faster with five outboards.

Scout builds the 530 LXF using its carbon fiber epoxy-infused lamination process, which incorporates carbon/E glass for more lateral stability and reduced weight.

Standard equipment includes a Seakeeper 6 gyroscopic stabilizer, a helm enclosure with electronically powered windows on each side, a cockpit island with a forward-facing bench seat, aft facing bar stools and a cooler, and a sink and cutting board with a granite countertop.

A master stateroom in the bow has a walkaround queen berth that has rod storage underneath and a 32-inch television. There’s a private head with an enclosed shower.

Cobalt gave a sneak peek at its first 2020 model, the A29, a crossover dayboat that features the company’s patent-pending Splash & Stow inflatables management systems. It lets owners deploy, retrieve and store water-recreational devices. A full-beam swim platform with Cobalt’s folding swim step comes standard and is complemented by an optional hydraulic lift and lower system.
