Riva unveils newly launched flybridge yacht Riva 90 Argo

During a private celebration hosted in Miami last week, Riva has unveiled its new flybridge motor yacht Riva 90 Argo as it prepares to hand over this first unit to the American market. Measuring 28.5 metres in length, the Riva 90 Argo fits in well with the Italian builder’s existing flybridge lineup and joins the successful 100 Corsaro and 110 Dolcevita models.

Riva once again worked with the brand’s long-time design partner, Officina Italiana Design on the new Riva 90 Argo which combines familiar touches from her larger sisters while at the same time retaining a unique and dynamic style. The Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee worked at optimising the aerodynamic qualities of the design and ensuring the large hull windows provide a safe and comfortable experience at sea even at top speeds of over 26 knots.

Ferretti Group CEO, Alberto Galassi explains Riva’s philosophy behind the Argo name. “We named it after the Argo, which was the vessel of the famous Argonauts and the first ever ship to sail the seas. It is also the Italian name for Argos, which is one of the largest cities in Greece.”

As this particular unit is designed and built for the American market, Riva has created a unique cockpit area that comes complete with a bar, lounge area and custom Paola Lenti coffee table.

“The Riva 90’ Argo is an exceptional flybridge that elicits a complementary blend of attention to detail and emotion,” continues Galassi. “Once you are on board, you realize why the new Riva flybridge generation is currently unrivalled.”
