OCEANIC'S POSEIDON GAINS NMEA2000 APPROVAL

South coast-based Oceanic Systems has announced that its new display system is fully NMEA2000 certified.

Using vector graphics and fully configurable by the user, the Poseidon System enables boat owners to create data and control displays with the opportunity of importing floor plans and photographs.

Huge benefits

Jessica Cotton, marketing specialist at Oceanic Systems, told Boating Business that the certification "brings huge benefits to not only the business but also its customers."

"Any customer now using the system has full assurance that it works to the standard of the NMEA2000 and will sync perfectly with any other approved NMEA2000 product," she added.

Already widely installed across the industry, the Poseidon was tested against the NMEA2000 certification tool. Results were then sent to the NMEA2000 organisation for approval.

"This certification brings with it a wider potential audience as it is suitable for any sized network or vessel from leisure/commercial to offshore working vessels," concluded Ms Cotton.
