Cockwells delivers tender to 63m Hakvoort explorer Scout

Cockwells has delivered the eight-metre tender T/T Scout to her 63 metre Hakvoort explorer mothership Scout.

The convertible limousine, which stands out for her striking sunshine yellow hull, reflects the exterior design of Scout and can transport a total of 10 guests and two crew. Described by the yard as “touchscreen heaven”, T/T Scout features a dual-sectioned glass roof which slides halfway to semi-enclose the saloon.

The saloon is accessed through twin touchscreen activated electric doors that can be tinted at the touch of a button to offer protection from the sun.

T/T Scout is operated via a helm operated joystick control, accompanied with a reversing camera and bow thruster. Power comes from two Volvo D3 220 HP engines for a top speed of 37 knots.

Cockwells founder and managing director Dave Cockwell said the tender was built to “superyacht standard.” “We are proud to have matched the quality and performance of her mothership,” he said.“T/T Scout offers the ultimate in flexibility. Throw open the roof and enjoy exposure to the elements or close it fully to cool down or warm up. With her electric windows and touchscreen roof, T/T Scout combines stylish luxury, optimal performance and innovative technology.”

The 63 metre explorer Scout was delivered earlier this month and has begun her maiden journey to the US with her Cockwells tender stored on the foredeck.
