'Flying Fox' available for charter

Imperial unveils 136m Lürssen superyacht as latest addition to charter fleet…

Imperial has announced the addition of Flying Fox to its central agency charter fleet. The 136m yacht, built by Lürssen earlier this year, is now available for worldwide charter through Imperial, who managed the construction process and will now continue as the vessel’s Operational Manager.

Flying Fox can claim to be one of the largest superyachts ever available for charter. The exterior, designed by Espen Øino features a dove-grey hull and a 22.5m-wide beam which aims to create a large, comfortable living space.

Imperial claims that the yacht is “built for lovers of the great outdoors” - she features a 12m swimming pool that runs transversely on the main deck, which is something of a first for a superyacht of this size. The yacht also offers a variety of diving equipment, alongside an array of water toys and tenders.

Mark Berryman worked on the interior of the yacht, which is intended to offer a contemporary and luxurious feel for its guests. Berryman explains he used warm neutral tones to create an atmosphere of calm while incorporating real trees and plants to add an immersive touch of green and “recall her natural spirit.”

Flying Fox comprises 11 cabins, for 22 guests, all featuring private sea-view terraces. The master cabin is located on the upper deck, forward and aims to efficiently combine professional and personal life: this area features a private office, bathrooms with dressing rooms and a master stateroom with en-suite private salon, a wooden fireplace, and a bay window opening to the private jacuzzi. This private area also features a beauty centre, which is intended to provide its VIP guests “ultimate privacy and relaxation.”

In another attempt to seamlessly merge the professional and the personal, the aft deck features an outside cinema screen, salon with wood fireplace and a conference room.
