PME GROUP HYBRID PARTNERSHIP WITH ESCO POWER

PME Group’s partnership with Esco Power will support sales and service of the Esco Hybrid system within the UK Market.

PME and Esco Power are so confident in the product they have jointly sponsored the Hybrid Conference at Seawork where you can hear Eddy de Backer of Esco passionately explain his proposed solution to the hybrid requirements in the marine industry in the UK.

The Esco Power drive unit can easily be built with SAE connection between the diesel engine and marine gears, and is equipped with elastic coupling to connect to the diesel engine flywheel and has a strong electric magnet clutch of either 24 or 110vdc to connect and disconnect the diesel engine from the drive line.

The main drive unit can be mounted either vertically or horizontally enabling the system to fit most new and existing engine compartments. In addition, it benefits from a reduction ratio in the main drive unit which helps to maintain torque and power to the propulsion system when in electric mode.

The system comprises a compact design with easy to operate control system. The range is from 200hp to 1700hp and has many unique features to suit current and future expectations for environmental sympathetic operations.

The Esco hybrid system has been developed to suit both pleasure and commercial craft application.
