EXTENDED RANGE OF DESIGNS ON SHOW

Buoyant Works launched its FenderIT range at last year’s Seawork and has now built up an extended range of designs to add to its portfolio for commercial work boats and leisure vessels together with quayside and pontoon protection.

The company has created a non-foam, high wear resistant, polymer cast fendering design which weighs 50% less than a rubber alternative focusing on the design, engineering and manufacture of high performance fendering and using the latest in polymer processing equipment.

Key benefits include soft feel energy absorbing structure, the availability of multiple configurations incorporating the same repeatable design, consistent and predictable performance throughout the fender’s life and manufacture from a high-performance polymer designed for dynamic high wear applications.

The company says the polymer used offers excellent dynamic performance, high wear and abrasion resistance even under extreme conditions, retains its physical properties at elevated temperatures, has low heat build-up under load and repeat deformations, chemical and moisture resistant at elevated temperatures and multiple attachment methods to existing hull designs.
