Zeelander international expansion with two new Z55 deliveries in US and Russia
Dutch shipyard Zeelander Yachts is proud to announce that it has recently expanded its international sales areas, thanks to the delivery of two new Z55 sport cruisers to the Great Lakes in the U.S. and Moscow in Russia, the first sales for Zeelander in these regions.
First presented at the 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival, these latest deliveries bring sales to date of the Z55 to six.
The Z55 is a 17-metre, luxuriously elegant, lobster-style yacht with a modern twist. Combining timeless design and innovative solutions, the exterior lines were developed by the Zeelander design team, in collaboration with the award-winning designer Cor D. Rover.
The naval architecture features a deep-V hull, made from GRP using infusion techniques that provides a smooth ride, even in rough seas. Powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS 1200 engines for high manoeuvrability and power combined with world-class fuel efficiency, the Z55 has a range of more than 500 nautical miles (at 28 knots) and a top speed of 42+ knots."These sales in 'exotic' locations are an indication of the far-reaching appeal of the Zeelander brand around the world," says Floris Koopmans, Marketing Coordinator at Zeelander Yachts. "But there is one thing that is universal. Zeelander owners are looking for something unique that expresses their taste. They understand what it takes to create the very best and with Zeelander they have found their match."
As with the entire Zeelander range, the Z55 is completely manufactured in Holland, at the state-of-the-art Zeelander Yachts facility in Groot-Ammers. The base price of the Z55 with twin Volvo Penta IPS 950 engines is 2.245 million euro. An upgrade to twin IPS1200 costs another 101,200 euro.Flagship off to America
Customer feedback led to the development of the brand new Z72, Zeelander's new flagship. The first hull that was launched in April for an American client, has now arrived in the USA and will make its world debut at the 2019 Newport International Boat Show (Sept 12-15).
With her superyacht-level features and smart use of space, the Z72 is the natural evolution of the Z55, offering the same high performance and comfort that are the hallmarks of the brand, but on a grander scale. The supremely elegant profile, typical of classic New York fast commuters and styled by Cor D. Rover, remains, but the Z72 boasts a larger panoramic salon, beach club cabana, tender garage and a retractable swim platform among her standout features.
"The Z72 is not just a bigger version of the Z44 or Z55: it's a more modern evolution of the series with updated design." says Koopmans. "For example, the sheerline is S-shaped instead of C-shaped, giving her a slightly slicker, faster appeal. Also her stern is wider and more voluptuous. The result is a profile that is a reinterpretation of the iconic and timeless design that made the Z44 and Z55 so successful."
