CdM launches fifth 31m Darwin Class 102 yacht Archipelago

The latest Cantiere delle Marche yacht from the Darwin Class 102 range, Archipelago, has been successfully launched. The 31-metre explorer vessel features interior designs by Francesco Guida and an exterior design, naval architecture and engineering completed by Sergio Cutolo from the Italian naval architecture firm Hydro Tec.

On the main deck, a spacious open-plan living room and formal dining area can be found along with the owner’s suite. With a further four staterooms located on the lower deck, up to 10 guests can be accommodated for on board. More informal social areas can be found on the upper deck, where guests can also enjoy uninterrupted sea views from the skylounge. The interior style of Archipelago was designed to reflect the tone and mood of the sea thanks to a colour scheme of white, green and blue.

Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder and sales and marketing director at Cantiere delle Marche commented: “We are very proud of launching the fifth Darwin Class 102’, confirming that there is no other more successful explorer vessel model between 90 and 110 feet on the whole market. This build has been another amazing example of the incredible flexibility of this shipyard when it is needed: the whole last 4 months of the build have been followed step by step personally by our General Manager Bruno Piantini who has lead the project teams on both sides with unbelievable energy and capacity, putting all his knowledge and experience at their disposal. It has been an amazing lesson for everyone involved, and I personally thank my friend Bruno for having done that: Grazie Bruno!”

Her twin Caterpillar Inc C18 Acert engines, each of which delivers 500kW, can power explorer yacht Archipelago to a maximum speed of 13 knots and a cruising speed of 11.5 knots. At 9.5 knots, she has an impressive range of 4,700 nautical miles.
