Benetti delivers 63m superyacht Metis

The 63-metre custom Benetti superyacht Metis has been delivered to her German owner in Livorno. Built to Lloyd’s Register and featuring exterior design by Giorgio M. Cassetta and Benetti, the motor yacht was built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Her interiors are the result of a collaboration between Bannenberg & Rowell and Birgit Otte Interior Atelier.

Metis is characterised by a unique layout in which the interiors are rotated by 30 degrees, revealing scenic vantage points not attainable with a more traditional arrangement. She offers six staterooms as well as a full-beam owner's cabin, which covers 162 square metres. The spacious owner’s suite is adorned with smoked oak, carbon and polished steel decor surrounded by full-height glazed windows, providing a 180-degree panoramic view. The spacious cabin also features a private sauna, terrace and a touch-and-go helipad.

The upper deck contains a lounge area complete with a grand piano, bar and two side terraces. The fly deck, designed by Kurt Lehmann from Yacht Moments in collaboration with Cassetta, houses a gym where guests can train while overlooking sea views in the air-conditioned interior or in the fresh air outdoors. Al fresco dining opportunities are located on the bridge deck as well as on the main deck, which also features a generously-sized recreational area. Complete with a children’s play area, a backgammon table and private lounge and terrace, guests of all ages are sure to enjoy the collection of amenities located on the vessel’s five decks. Able to house a tender and two jet skis, the garage is situated an unusual two metres above sea level, with the purpose of facilitating landing operations even in difficult weather conditions. Equipped with two MTU 12V engines with a power of 1,380 kW, the 1,195 GT superyacht Metis can reach a top speed of 16 knots and boasts a nautical range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
