Williams Evojet 70: New model aimed at megayacht tender market

Jet tender specialist Williams is hoping to break into the world of superyacht tenders with the upcoming Evojet 70

The name Williams is almost synonymous with compact craft designed for smaller tender garages, but that could all be about to change with the upcoming Evojet 70.

The Oxfordshire yard will launch its latest model in the autumn and it is aiming big, with the 40m+ superyacht market in its sights.

The yard’s current flagship is the Diesel Jet 625, but the semi-custom Evojet 70 will not only be longer, it will be able to carry more guests (up to 13), carry more fuel (200 litres) and come with the option of a folding carbon-fibre T-Top, offering shade over the whole boat.

Yanmar remains the engine supplier of choice, but the size of unit fitted has yet to be confirmed. A walk-through transom and single-level floor make boarding easier than before, while an integrated watersports pole, cool box and abundant storage means that the Evojet 70 could be used as a dayboat as well as a tender.

Mathew Hornsby, sales director at Williams Jet Tenders, said: “The new Evojet range is a real game changer for the business and it’s the start of the next chapter in Williams’ history. The tender’s luxurious fit and finish has been designed with practicality and usability in mind, resulting in a versatile model that allows you to explore further.

“Tenders placed onboard 40 metre+ superyachts are often custom-built, and this ultimately means a higher cost and a longer lead time. Our proposition is unique, we can deliver a semi-customised product, in a shorter lead time than our competitors, leveraging our proven engineering to create a reliable, innovative superyacht tender at a very competitive price.”

Williams adds that the Evojet 70 will be followed up by an even larger stablemate in 2020. Megayacht owners take note…
