LANDAMORES SHOWCASES NEW MAYFLY

Norwich-based boatbuilder, Landamores, has unveiled a new model – the Mayfly 21 launch, designed by Andrew Wolstenholme.

The new launch, the third for the company in the past two years, was showcased at the Thames Traditional Boat Festival in Henley-on-Thames in July.

The future's electric

All Landamores launches are hybrids - powered by either electric propulsion or inboard diesel engine but the company is turning to a more sustainable design. “We are proud to say that over the past 18 months we have predominantly fitted electric propulsion,” explained Rob Marriott.

This new design expands on the success of the Mayfly 16 model, offering a boat with a larger cockpit and suitable for more passengers. Designed to RCD build category C, this boat has been developed for coastal waters and can be used both as a harbour launch and for use on inland waters.

Customisable to each owner’s requirements, the Mayfly 21 has space for up to 12 guests and is easily trailable meaning the boat can be used both inland and as an additional boat when holidaying further abroad. The batteries allow for eight hours of use between charges with options to extend this range.
