Premier Oil charters Vroon PSV for North Sea

Platform supply vessel (PSV) VOS Patience is providing supply vessel support to jack-up drilling rig ENSCO 123

The term contract started at the end of July and is expected to continue into Q4 2019, supporting a drilling campaign in the North Sea.

VOS Patience is a PX-121 type PSV and was constructed in 2017 at the Cosco Guangdong Shipyard in China, where its five sister vessels in Vroon’s fleet were also built.

The PX-121 features Ulstein’s X-Bow hull design, which aids in fuel efficiency and vessel stability when operating in rough conditions such as those encountered in the North Sea.

The vessel measures 83.4 m in length, 18 m in breadth with a design draft of 6 m. It has a dwt of 3,300. It has a dynamic positioning class of DP2, and also meets the requirements for ABS’ Clean Design notation.

Prior to being chartered by Premier Oil, VOS Patience spent time on the North Sea spot market, supporting a number of clients.
