First Pictures: 48 Wallytender Unveiled at Cannes Yachting Festival 2019

The third and fourth units of the 48 Wallytender have made their international debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

One, with a "Gunmetal grey" paint finish, is being presented in the water while the other, which features a "Sahara sand finish", is presented on land.

It comes after the Ferretti Group announced the sale of three 48 Wallytenders in June this year, following the confirmation of the Wally brand acquisition.The debuting new models were sold to clients in Europe and the US, after being first revealed at boot Dusseldorf in January this year,

Additional units of the “restyled” 14.5 metre 48 Wallytender are currently in build at Ferretti’s Forlì facility.Speaking about the first three sales of the new model, Wally managing director and chief operating officer of the Ferretti Group, Stefano de Vivo, said: “These sales confirm the vision of Ferretti Group in acquiring one of the world’s most renowned and innovative yacht brands.”

He added that the company would be working hard to “develop Wally’s unique potential even further”.

Wally founder Luca Bassani added: “The new 48 Wallytender is proof that our very special design DNA continues to thrive under Ferretti ownership.”Key features of this “standalone runabout” include extensive day boating amenities, including a full cabin and shower for two guests, a galley unit with two fridges, one inside and one out, and a retractable Passarelle that doubles as a swim ladder. Fold-down bulwark sections increase the size of the swim platform.
