Fincantieri unveils 81m superyacht concept Vis

Fincantieri introduced its newest superyacht concept during this year’s Monaco Yacht Show: the 80.8-metre Vis. The concept is the result of a collaboration between the Italian yard and the Firenze-based Francesco Paszkowski and takes inspiration from Fincantieri’s lengthy history building modern naval ships.

The name ‘Vis’ is meant to denote vigour and incisiveness and her exterior design is reminiscent of the Italian navy ships which Fincantieri also builds.

For the six-deck superyacht, advanced technologies and smart architectural solutions such as fold-out balconies, wide panoramic social areas and solar panels have been designed to create a stylish yet functional vessel.

On the wheelhouse bridge, guests can relax on C-shaped sofas, take a dip in the pool or sit by the bar under a solar-panelled roof. A tender of up to 8.5-metres can be housed on board.

The main deck living space features floor-to-ceiling windows that brighten the interior, complemented by homely architectural designs and a winter garden that surrounds the scenic lift in the lobby.

Accommodation for 14 guests in seven staterooms will be available on board Vis as well as for a crew of up to 23.

The upper deck is dedicated exclusively to the owner and includes an apartment-style stateroom with a private gym on a sheltered terrace, a studio and a private terrace forward. Two stairways on either side of the main deck lobby will allow the owner to access their stateroom from the aft helipad.

At an economical speed of 12 knots, Vis will have a transatlantic range of 5000 nautical miles.
