Wally has unveiled the 165 Wallypower, the brand’s latest concept since the brand became part of Ferretti Group this year. The 50-metre contemporary superyacht designed by Espen Øino and Luca Bassan is an alternative to the typical Mediterranean cruiser.

Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi comments that “The Ferretti Group has made the impossible possible bringing together two geniuses in yachting. Espen and Luca are outstanding innovators who have each made a deep impact on yacht design. Now, in collaboration, they are shaking up the market with this incredible new yacht.”

The new 499 GT concept features an owner’s stateroom on the main deck and four additional en-suite staterooms on the lower deck along with the crew and service area towards the bow. The vessel can accommodate up to 10 guests and nine to 10 crew.

The main deck features a large saloon and dining area with fold-down balconies, which lead seamlessly to an outdoor dining space and a swimming pool flanked by large sunpads. Staircases on both sides of the vessel lead down to the water’s edge.“I have always been an admirer of Wally design. Luca and I share the same vision and approach, rooted in a profound passion for the sea and sailing. We both grew up around the water, we have been in the industry for 25 years and we chose to base our activity in Monaco, believing it would become the world centre of superyachting. With the 165 Wallypower, two like-minded, driven brands have now finally come together to create a new icon,” said Øino.

The 165 Wallypower also features a 15-metre sundeck with sunpads aft, a glass-encased bridge with a large raised settee and a U-shaped bar protected by a large hardtop and high glass bulwarks. With diesel engines and waterjet propulsion, the planing 165 Wallypower is expected to be capableof reaching 30 knots.
