HST expands CTV remote monitoring in emerging markets

A leading provider of crew transfer vessels is deploying remote monitoring and fleet support software in two emerging markets

High Speed Transfers (HST) has agreed to deploy Reygar’s advanced remote monitoring system, BareFleet, on vessels it will operate in Taiwan and the US east coast.

HST is expanding into these new markets as these nations develop their offshore renewables sectors.

Its vessels in the US are operated by Boston Line & Services and operations in Taiwan by Dong Fang Offshore.

HST chief executive Tom Nevin said the company operates four Damen FCS 2710 design and Damen-built vessels in Europe with BareFleet on board.

“Reygar’s versatile system has supported us in delivering operational best practice and transparency for our clients across Europe,” said Mr Nevin.

“We have now signed memorandum agreements with partners in the US and Taiwan, and look forward to maintaining our high operational standards as we address the demands and opportunities of these emerging markets.”

Boston Line & Services will deliver crew transfer and logistical support to east coast offshore windfarms and the wider offshore energy sector.

BareFleet will enable fuel and emissions monitoring, including logging nitrogen oxide emissions to comply with US Environmental Protection Agency Tier 4 requirements.

Boston Line & Services commercial manager Rob Pearce said BareFleet will add value to crew transfer and logistics services in the US.

“This level of reporting has not been seen in the US market so far,” he said. “It will set a high bar for transparency and vessel performance optimisation going forward.”

HST has an agreement with Dong Fang Offshore covering three CTVs and the roll-out of a training programme for local crews.

Dong Fang Offshore commercial associate manager Cory Cheng said BareFleet will enable operational transparency during crew transfers. “The system will enable us to deliver high-quality, cost-effective support to the growing offshore wind market in Taiwan, without compromising on technical availability or safety,” said Mr Cheng.
