The Soundcast VG5 is stylish, yet built strong to withstand the 'rigors' found in the marina and on the beach, delivering powerful sound and outstanding battery life (up to 10 hours).

According to the manufacturer, the VG5 is rated IP64; rain, snow, fog, sand, and dust proof, it can even be used in extreme temperatures (-4°F to 140°F, -20°C to 60°C) without experiencing a loss in audio quality (the latter is a manufacturer claim, and not officially part of the YachtingJournal.com test). The unit measures 17.2" x 8.25" x 8.25" (43.5 x 21 x 21 cm), and portable weighing just over 11 lbs.
