Besenzoni Reopens

Besenzoni , which has operated in the yacht sector for more than 50 years, said it restarted operations at its Sarnico, Italy, facility.

Even before social distancing became mandatory in Italy, Besenzoni had planned how to reorganize manufacturing and implement “smart working” models in the sales, design and service departments, the company said in a statement.

The logistics, purchasing, and production planning departments also were reorganized and are operational.

“All our departments are now operational, and in this period of quarantine we have been able to maintain close contacts with the entire sales network and with our customer support network throughout the country and around the world,” CEO Giorgio Besenzoni said in the statement.

Production work stations and the production line have been modified to preserve the health and safety of staff.

“Our company has drawn on all the experience it has gained over the years in order to evolve and to be able to comply with the new requirements, taking advantage of modern technology and the resourcefulness of our young employees in order to satisfy customers and, above all, to ensure that we can all start work again in safety,” Besenzoni said.
