Dunya Yachts Relaunches Amels Superyacht Secret Love Following Refit

Turkish yacht yard Dunya Yachts has relaunched the 36 metre Amels superyacht Secret Love following an extensive winter refit.

Since arriving at the yard in late October, Secret Love has undergone a total overhaul, with work undertaken on the engines, generator, paintwork and decks.

Despite being well maintained and owned by the same owner for 10 years, Secret Love was “showing signs of age,” the yard said.

As a result, a number of upgrades were made to the engineering systems, as well as an overhaul of the engine room and a complete refresh to the paintwork.

The engine room was also repainted and the pumps, main engines and electric systems were serviced and upgraded. The teak decks have also been replaced and the exterior guest areas upgraded.

Following the launch, the yacht will undergo testing before it is redelivered in mid-June in time for the summer season.

Work was completed close to the initial schedule despite disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Sovren Yacht Management director Stephen Warren said: “Under very difficult conditions, the yard has managed to complete works and launch the yacht with only a minimum of delay.”

Dunya sales and marketing director Jeremy Roche added: “The shipyard has adopted changes to work patterns to comply with guidance relating to the current crisis. There have been challenges but we have remained open throughout.”
