47m Hitachi Zosen sailing yacht Mikado on the market

The 46.9-metre sailing yacht Mikado is now looking for a new owner.

Built by Japanese shipyard Hitachi Zosen in 1987, she features an exterior designed by Canadian William Garden and interiors from New York-based studio Naomi Leff & Associates. Maintained in turnkey condition throughout her lifetime, this sailing yacht for sale underwent a refit to Lloyd's Class between 2006 and 2007.

Yacht Mikado, for sale and currently located in Palma de Mallorca, features a spacious design that includes a flybridge sun deck with a daybed towards port and a lounge area to starboard. Additionally, she offers tender stowage spaces and a sun lounge on a teak grate decking that extends over the aft deck.

The main deck of this yacht for sale comes with a private observation lounge on the foredeck and a guest area to the aft which can be accessed through the gates on the side deck and has space for sun loungers. The main deck also offers a lounge dining area with open-air dining for eight guests.

The interiors of Mikado are spacious with various relaxed lounge areas that are well lit by wide windows. Walking further in through the wheelhouse, guests are led to a lower deck TV room to port and a library lounge area to starboard.

Yacht Mikado, for sale in time for the last of the summer season, accommodates eight guests in four ensuite staterooms located on the lower deck including a full-beam owner's suite with seating and a dressing room, taken care of by a crew of seven.

Powered by twin Caterpillar Inc engines with 600 hp each, yacht Mikado for sale runs at a top speed of 13 knots and has a comfortable cruising speed of 11 knots.
