Azimut developing new Magellano 30 flagship

Azimut Yachts' long-range cruiser line of yachts is getting a new flagship model according to the Italian brand.

The Magellano 30 Metri is taking shape on the drawing boards of the Viareggio yacht builder and will take over from the recently-launched Magellano 25 model as the crown jewel of Azimut’s ocean-going line of yachts when completed.

A take on the traditional trawler, the Magellano 30 is characterised by a high-volume design with a plumb bow and high freeboard for maximum interior space and superior seakeeping capabilities. Azimut collaborated with designer Ken Freivokh on the project to capture all the elements that make the Magellano line so distinctive, but now with a sophisticated touch as was first represented in the new Magellano 25.

A Dual Mode hull design means the Magellano 30 will deliver excellent efficiency rates across a broad range of speeds, from displacement mode to full throttle.

While Azimut remains tight-lipped about the new project, more information about this stylish navetta can be expected soon.
