55m Alia motor yacht Al Waab II ready for outfitting in Antalya

Based in Antalya, Turkey, Alia Yachts celebrated a milestone in the construction of the 55-metre motor yacht Al Waab II last month when the yard joined the hull and superstructure of the new project.

Work will now continue with the outfitting of the vessel ahead of her delivery next summer.

“The joining of the hull and superstructure is always a milestone event as it provides the first glimpse of what the finished yacht will look like,” says Alia Yachts President Gökhan Çelik. “Insulation, piping and cabling work in the hull and superstructure has already progressed before the operation and we’ll now be starting the actual fit-out.

Vripack is responsible for the design and engineering of the entire project while the Arabian-based SF Yachts is serving as owner’s representative during the build. The sub-500 GT Al Waab II can sleep up to 12 guests in six staterooms and includes a lavish split-level master suite on the upper deck.

Alia Yachts is also working on a 36-metre shadow vessel that is expected to be completed in 2021.
