Ferretti Yachts 1000 flagship project unveiled

A new Ferretti Yachts 1000 model has been added to the Italian builder’s growing line of sporty composite motor yachts.

The 30.13-metre flagship project is currently in build at Ferretti Yachts and will be ready to cruise in 2021.

For this new project, the largest ever undertaken by Ferretti Yachts, Ferretti Group worked with Filippo Salvetti and Ideaeitalia on a new holistic approach to the exterior and interior design of the vessel. “The Ferretti Yachts 1000 heralds a new style based on even more simple and clean-cut forms,” explains exterior designer Salvetti. The sporty character of the Ferretti Yachts 1000 goes skin deep, with the entire superstructure and hardtop to be built from carbon fibre. The first wide-body design in the Ferretti Yachts fleet not only means more usable space for guests, but also an easy-to-use layout for everyone on board.

A double staircase design now provides two options to reach the flybridge from the main deck aft, from where guests can easily reach the foredeck area via the side decks on the top level. Elsewhere, at the stern, the 40 square metre beach club is one of the best outdoor areas for relaxing and features a smart submersible platform for safe and easy access to the sea for all guests. The adjacent lazarette is accessed on the starboard side where the yacht’s jet tender, jet ski and water toys such as two Seabobs are stored.

A modular layout has been devised for the interior of the yacht, leaving plenty of room for customisation for clients. Ideaeitalia designed ‘classic' and ‘contemporary’ themes which clients can use as a starting point, with the first characterised by soft and traditional tones while the latter features bolder shades with a touch of urban style.

The standard five-cabin layout comprises a master suite on the main deck and four guest cabins on the lower deck. Designed for both private and charter use, the Ferretti Yachts 1000 comes with a fully-equipped 10 square metre galley and crew quarters for five.

The standard propulsion package of two MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines provide a top speed of 28 knots and cruises around 24 knots. Clients can add an optional gyro stabilising system for a smoother experience on board while underway or at anchor.
