Vismara develops 26m in-build sailing yacht Momi 80

With construction already underway at the shipyard’s Viareggio facility, Vismara has revealed new details about the 26.2-metre sailing yacht Momi 80.

Due to be built in carbon sandwich with a carbon mast and boom, the in-build sailing yacht will be propelled by a 280-square-metre sail.

The new athletic yacht will be manoeuvred by six winches - four electric winches located aft and two manual winches located fore, as well as a coffee grinder for regattas. Equipped with a retractable keel with a 2.5-metre draft, the Momi 80 sailing yacht will be able to cruise through deep and shallow waters, and seamlessly enter ports by motor power. The hatch located on the stern mirror of the Momi 80 can be opened electronically, and functions as a swim platform or to store an up to three-metre tender.

Two entrances to the interior of the Momi 80 separate guests from the crew, with the main entrance leading guests down to the dinette and double L-shaped sofa. On the same level, towards the bow, two guest cabins can be found: a double cabin with a bunk bed and wardrobe, and another double cabin equipped with en-suite facilities and a wardrobe. Located at the bow is the master cabin, featuring a large wardrobe, a sofa area and an ensuite bathroom and shower. While bright and sunlit, her interiors are minimalistic and showcase a familiar mix of warm-toned upholstery, oak wood and white bulkheads.

The crew galley is located in the stern of the Momi 80 and houses a kitchen with tilting gas burners, an oven, dishwasher and large fridge with a small service bathroom nearby. Crew accommodation is provided in the form of two double cabins, one of which includes a private bathroom, a closet and laundry facilities.
